Hey, you! Over here!
I’m not supposed to be here, remember? I’m supposed to be Away, visiting family, and honestly, I totally would be except that Asher woke up from his nap on Friday afternoon with a RAGING FEVER; the kind of fever that registered as 102 degrees on the thermometer before I even got it between his two little fiery butt cheeks. He was all flushed and miserable and so, naturally, I opted us out of the six-hour car trip and three subsequent nights of sleeping in a Pack ‘n Play at the foot of my bed, which, as we all know, ends up being NO SLEEP AT ALL. FOR ANYONE.
Which, it turns out, wouldn’t have been much different than what happened the last three nights in his own bed. In other words, I’M PRETTY TIRED. And I’ve spent all our superfluous income for the month on infant Tylenol.
Well, on infant Tylenol and floor-length curtains.
(Don’t they look nice? You have good taste, Internet.)
Also, for Christmas, my parents gave us a gift card loaded with enough money to replace our ancient leaking dishwasher. We went out and spent it on Saturday.
Er… well, I suppose we could ask it to do the dishes. I don’t know if it’ll happen, but there’s no harm in asking.
Hee hee, that's the greatest dishwasher of ALL TIME!

As a floor-length voter I am thrilled to see how great they look!
Sorry about your lil' man and hope he gets well soon. My cousin had a fever of 103.5 the other day. These kids are overachievers.

That looks SO comfy. Make room, I'm coming over. Is that a pillow-top mattress? I only sleep on pillow-top.

I love it! Not the sick part. The part about spending the dishwasher money on a nifty flat screen TV. Hope Asher feels better!

Love the floor length curtains. They look fantastic. A very nice accent to the new "dishwasher"!

Usually lurk, but must comment here. One Christmas, my parents gave us enough money for a NICE entertainment unit, something in which to put the TV, stereo, etc (this was before everything we own coming out of one tiny ipod). We found a piece of ART. A nearly life sized, aluminum wire sculpture of a horse. That my parents HATE (makes my husband happy every time he looks at it). We still have nothing to put a TV in, but occasionally wonder if it'll sit on the back of that horse. Did I mention it makes my husband a little too happy that my parents hat it?

That TV. Is. So. Awesome. Do you know out of all the TVs in our house (and OUTSIDE our house), the only flat screen is our BABY MONITOR? Sad. But true.

I just wanted to leave a comment about your post up on Parents...
My sister's toddler LOVES those coloring books where you fill the marker with water & as you use with the marker, colors appear on the page. I think crayola makes them. Well, he is 3 years old and he will spend 10 minutes doing 1 page until all of the colors show up. And those 10 minutes of freedom are AWESOME!! (speaking from babysitter standpoint, no kiddos here yet).
Another thing that keeps him occupied are the NickJr online games. He loves being a "big boy" and sitting there playing & the games are so simple - he'll play for 15 minutes without needing help. Asher may be a little young for this still, but not by much!
Hope that helps :)

Who needs a dishwasher that doesn't leak when you've got towels in the closet and a purdy TV in the bedroom?
Hope Asher feels better pronto.
